Annual inspection day one, plus some minor repairs to the paint on the left wing. Fine sanded the area and covered it with UV protection prior to painting.
Cozy Experimental Aircraft Update – September 17, 2017
Cut four 10″ x 2″ strips of BID cloth at 45 deg orientation. Shop temperature was 25 deg C and humidity 48%. 46g resin was mixed with 18g hardner. Wet out two sets of the strips (2-ply each) with the epoxy. Wet the inside corners of the lower firewall with epoxy. Poured some of the …

Permanent installation of the lower firewall today. Firewall shimmed and level and clamped in position – ready for floxing. Shop temperature 25 deg C and humidity 46%. 34g resin and 13g hardner mixed with flox. Firewall floxed in position and curing.

Prepared inboard foam shims for the lower firewall installation. Inboard foam shims 5-min epoxy’d in place. Electrical channels carved out on each side.
