Cut the bulk of the foam away from the blocks between the firewall and aft landing gear bulkhead. Sanded the foam bottom to 1/8″ at the aft landing gear bulkhead to flush with the bottom of the firewall. Sanded a continuous recess 1/8″ deep and 3/4″ wide for the landing gear cover.
Carved a joggle (1/8″ deep and 3/4″ wide) in front of the forward landing gear bulkhead so that the landing gear cover will be flush with the bottom of the fuselage.
Sanded the bottom of the fuselage between the landing brake and the forward landing gear to level out the NACA scoop.
