Logged 3 hours in the rear seat this morning. Departed CYPQ for air work in the Kawartha’s then a pit stop at CNF4. Flew circuits using the grass at CNF4 then back to the hangar.

The boards and 5-min epoxy blobs were removed from the bottom of the fuselage.
Flying circuits at CYPQ in preparation for upcoming tailwheel conversion training in June. Here is a short video clip from this morning’s flight. Time for the annual check on the ELT.
Took the RC ignition system out for some field testing today. Next up a few design improvements to the ignition system then we’ll test it again – this time to launch a small model rocket.
Taping the front fuselage section floor joints: Cut enough cloth to make two 17″ x 2″ pieces of BID tape and two 9″ x 1.5″ pieces of BID tape. Workshop temperature was 25 degC and humidity 53%. 134g resin and 51g hardner were mixed together. The BID cloth was wetted with the epoxy using a …
