Took the RC ignition system out for some field testing today. Next up a few design improvements to the ignition system then we’ll test it again – this time to launch a small model rocket.
Taping the front fuselage section floor joints: Cut enough cloth to make two 17″ x 2″ pieces of BID tape and two 9″ x 1.5″ pieces of BID tape. Workshop temperature was 25 degC and humidity 53%. 134g resin and 51g hardner were mixed together. The BID cloth was wetted with the epoxy using a …

Taping the floor to the front seat joints (seatback & fuselage sides). Workshop temperature was 24 deg C and humidity 51%. Cut 2 layers of BID cloth to cover two 2″x17″ and two 2″x19″ strips. Mixed 120g resign with 46g hardner to make a batch of epoxy. Wet out the BID cloth and the …
