Cut out birch plywood pieces to reinforce the rear bulkheads as per figures 3 and 5. Tapered the corners and edges as required, and sanded to fit.
Shaping the portion of the NACA scoop that is forward of the landing gear bulkheads:
Two pieces of 2″ thick urethane foam 9″ x 15″ were cut.
Two pieces of 1″ thick urethane foam 18″ x 15″ were cut.
The NACA Scoop template was used to shape the four pieces.
The four pieces were trial fit forward of the landing gear bulkhead.
Departed runway 13 at CYPQ for upper air work in the Kawartha Lakes practice area then circuits at CNF4 runway 13 and back to CYPQ for some circuits on runway 09.

Sanded the taped joints inside the fuselage.
Unpacked the shipment from Aircraft Spruce Canada to verify the inventory of supplies for work on the fuselage exterior.
Started working on the fuselage exterior.
Created the NACA Scoop template from drawing M-16.
A centreline was marked on the bottom of the fuselage and the template was positioned along the centreline then the outline of the scoop was traced on the fuselage bottom.
