Vipe 2025

The Quebec Rocketry Club’s annual summer launch took place on July 12th and 13th in Saint-Prime Quebec, Canada. We had good weather and approvals to launch up to 12,000′.

This rocket is a Frenzy with dual deployment black powder ejection charges. It was a flight to 4,184′ with the drogue chute deploying at apogee and the main chute deploying at 600′ AGL. The rocket flew on an Aerotech J135W motor. A GPS beacon was used to locate and recover the rocket.

Next up is a Go Devil 1.6″ diameter rocket flying on an Aerotech H242T. It was launched using a fly away rail guide and being a minimum diameter rocket with a 22:1 thrust to weight ratio it departed the launch pad in a fury and climbed to 4300′ then descended under chute safely back to the ground. The fly away rail guide didn’t last long after the launch. The rocket was located using an RF beacon.

The Go Devil launched so quickly we couldn’t even see it ! Here is a video of the launch.
