Cozy Experimental Aircraft Update – June 11, 2017

Two plies of BID cloth were cut to 33″ x 1.5″ to tape the joint between the bottom and top half of the landing gear bulkhead.

Peel ply was removed from yesterday’s 3-ply UND layups.

Shop temperature was 25 deg C and humidity was 51%.  Epoxy was mixed together with 98g resin and 38g hardner.

The 2-ply BID tape was wet out and epoxy was lightly brushed on the bulkhead where the tape is placed.

A small batch of flox was mixed and applied to the joint between the upper and lower bulkhead to ensure a smooth transition for the cloth.

The 2-ply BID tape was cut out with electrical scissors and applied to the bulkhead joint and then covered with peel ply.
